The M.A.A. is an umbrella association for Aikido groups throughout Myanmar. The M.A.A. is the only organization in Myanmar that is officially recognized by the Aikido World Headquarters (Hombu dojo) in Japan.
Several times a year the M.A.A. hosts high ranking teachers from Japan, as well as other foreign countries, who visit Myanmar to give special training courses, and conduct examinations.
It is the purpose of the M.A.A. to promote and spread Aikido throughout Myanmar, and to keep a direct connection with Aikido World Headquarters in Japan. The M.A.A. is open to all groups in Myanmar regardless of style.
